Our purpose

Fikr NJ exists to nurture a generation that knows its Lord, loves the Qurʾān, and carries sacred knowledge with humility into every corner of life.

وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” — Sūrah Ṭā Hā 20:114

Why Fikr NJ

A learning home built on trust

We pair authentic, traditional knowledge with a warm, modern environment — so students grow in both ʿilm and akhlāq.

Rooted in scholarship

Our curriculum follows the established Islamic tradition, taught by qualified ʿulamāʾ and ḥuffāẓ.

Tajwīd from day one

Correct, beautiful recitation is the foundation — built carefully from the very first lesson.

Small, caring classes

Every student is known by name, encouraged personally, and paced thoughtfully — never rushed.

For the whole family

Programs for children, youth, and adults — with parents as partners every step of the way.

Featured program

Maktab — our foundational program

The heart of Fikr NJ: a warm, structured after-school program where children build a lifelong relationship with the Qurʾān — recitation with tajwīd, the essentials of faith, and beautiful character.

From our families

Trusted by parents and students

A learning home built on sincerity, patience, and authentic knowledge.

“My son looks forward to maktab every evening. His recitation has come so far, and the teachers genuinely care about his character, not just his lessons.”
Aisha R.
Maktab parent
“The ḥifẓ program is rigorous but never harsh. They paced my daughter beautifully — she’s confident, consistent, and truly loves the Qurʾān.”
Bilal M.
Ḥifẓ parent
“I joined the weekend Islamic education track as a working adult. The classes are structured, accessible, and have reconnected me with my dīn.”
